61st Junior Parr Competition Kindly Sponsored by COSO’S FISHING TACKLE

• GREATEST LENGTH OF FISH
• Fishing 9.00am-11am Entrance Fee £1 Weigh in not later than 11.30am
• High Water 2.11pm – 4.6Metres
• ALL COMPETITORS MUST REGISTER AT THE TOLL HOUSE FROM 8.00AM.
• NO FISHING ALLOWED BEFORE 9.00am.

To aid conservation this year’s match will be fished on a catch, measure and release basis and the winning competitor will be the angler who has the greatest overall length of fish
Rules

• 1. All competitors must be over 6 years, but under 14 years.
• 2. This event does not count for Junior Angler of the Week Award.
• 3. Competitors must hook and land fish. Assistance may only be given to bait, cast and unravel entangled lines.
• 4. Competitors must only use one hook.
• 5. On catching a fish the competitor must retain the fish in a suitable container, a steward will then come and measure
• the fish, record the length and release the fish. Fish deemed to be eligible for special prizes will be retained by the
• steward along with the competitors details.
• 6. Competitors MUST fish from one of the following piers.
• a) Vincent Pier. (Up to the bridge)
• b) East Pier(Harbour side only)
• All other areas are out of bounds. Including Fish Market, North Wharf, Golden Ball & Sandside Slipways,
• Lighthouse Pier & Marine Drive
• Greatest Length of Fish: Winning Competitor receives the “PEARSON TROPHY” and choice of prize from the table
• Longest Single Fish (Competitor under 10 year old): The “INTREPID” Trophy and £5 voucher presented by Bill Costin
• Greatest Length of Fish (Competitor under 10 year olds): The “KNIGHT” Trophy and £ voucher presented by Bill Costin
• Greatest Number of Parrs Only : The “Susan Massheder” Trophy and Souvenir Cup and £5 voucher presented by Bill Costin
• Greatest Number of Parrs (Competitor under 10 Year Olds):The “PRITCHARD CUP” and £5 voucher presented by Bill Costin
• Greatest Length of Fish taken by a girl Competitor: The BINGHAM TROPHY £5 prize presented by M. E. Peart
• Longest Single Fish: The FESTIVAL JUNIOR CUP & £5 presented by Bill Costin
• Longest Single Fish by a Girl: The KEN WIGG TROPHY and £20 offered by Ken Wigg
• Shortest Fish: The “ALONZI TROPHY” and £5 voucher presented by Bill Costin
