The Fishing

the fishing should be good with a boundary extending from the harbour south to Nipe point, 4 km total which should allow a bit of elbow room but still be controllable. All types of fishingis possible with areas of sand & scars, merging into much harder ground. main species will be Cod, Pollock, mackerel, Coalfish, flatties & possible bass. the preferred methods locally depending on conditions is perks & hokies, jigheads or jellyworms, however a bait especially crab will always stand a chance of a better fish from the kelp.

I,m a complete novice at both kayaking and fishing , I,ve been out to sea in a prowler elite 7 times, and never entered a fishing competition before. If I do decide to enter do I just turn up on the day or do I have to pre enrol. Also where can I find out about rules etc. thanks
